1. the friendly reception and treatment of guests or strangers.

2. the quality or disposition of receiving and treating guests and strangers in a warm, friendly, generous way.

Doug Watson, President and CEO of The Howard Company shares his thoughts about the unprecedented situation the restaurant industry is experiencing with the Covid-19 pandemic.

Change happens. Sometimes we choose it and sometimes we are forced into it. What we are seeing in the restaurant industry could be frightening, if we only focus on the challenges ahead. Restaurants across the country are choosing to do good in the face of serious trials - facing change with optimism and self-giving. They are living the definition of hospitality, and it is inspiring to all of the team members who work at The Howard Company.
